My fender volume pedal is great but lately if you go back on it very much volume just completely cuts out i know if you put it all the way back the volume will die but about middle ways back volume just dies.anybody know what might be wrong with it.

Daniel,
I've never worked on a Fender pedal, but if it's the string-around-the-pot type, the string may be out of adjustment or either slipping.
Mitch

p.s. I'm from Collins, MS. which is on HWY. 49 between Hattiesburg and Magee. Are you very far away?

Daniel; What happens if you continue to press the volume pedal OFF after you hit the cut-out spot? If the volume comes back ON, you probably need a new Pot. If the sound continues to remain OFF, you could have a Lead and Ground wire touching. It's not likely to be the capacitor, because; they seldom go bad!

Does it feel like the whole pedal is sticking? With the volume not working right, the little screw on the pully on the pot shaft might be loose.
