I recently took a vintage Sho~bud on trade. The ol' girl has seen better days but the cabinet is beautiful. Someone has put more holes in her than swiss cheese and tried to modify her but failed misserably. The serial number is 8 390 390. The 8 may be a B. I'm sure this guitar came without knee levers and someone tried to put some on. Might explain the holes. The body has seperated between the E9 and C6 necks. The pickups have been replaced with Bill Lawrence 705's but not the original production models. The Grovers look to be original. The pedals look mysterious but I don't know the old Buds well enough to say if they are original or not. The case, amazingly is fantastic! It's the old "trunk material" style case. Even the cover for the guitar is still in tact.
My hope is perhaps one of you "Bud" enthusiasts would like to restore it. Just hate to trash it for it's few parts that are reuseable on another guitar. I'm asking $500.00 plus shipping.
For pictures go to www.hummingbirdmusicstudio.com .Click on "sales" page then "steel guitars". Thanks,Rick
