He was tilling his garden and about to plant some potatoes. He sat down in his chair to take a break and went to the Lord
Sorry to hear of this Roy. Prayers for you and your family.

At least he didn't suffer, and it sounds like he was doing something he enjoys (I have 35 years experience in the horticulture industry so I can relate).

Condolences Roy, I lost my Dad almost 21 years ago, he was an avid gardner too. I still think of him every day.

Roy, I lost my dad a couple years ago so I understand your loss. He may be with the Lord but he will always be in your heart, watching every note you pick. My prayers go out to you. Be strong and make him proud.

I would like to thank everyone for their condolences and prayers. We had the funeral this morning (2-21-11. There were many friends and family there. By his earlier request, I made a cd with fiddle and steel guitar instrumental tunes that was played before the start of the funeral. He was a guitar and fiddle player and said he didn't want us playing sad organ music. Everyone thought it was very fitting. Rest In Peace Dad. I Love You.

just came across the loss of your dad. it is never too late to remind ourselves that we are never alone during these times. you will grieve then progress to simply feelings of 'precious memories'. maybe we can share a coffee next trip to cedar park. kenny
