I have lived in and out of Indiana for about thirty years. I am hoping to relocate back up home in Muskegon, Michigan where I am originally from.
I have about 15 set's of three each cd's left. I have several of the Jimmy Bryant/Buddy Emmons live cd's but not many of the Chalker/Tharpe and the It's The First Time cd's left. Thanks to all for purchasing the cd's and I do hope you are enjoying them. The cd's come from several years of hard work as many of you know..I plan to keep the PO Box number for about four more months before I change everything. For those of you that have not already bought these historic cd's, I am going to offer them to you for $35.00 for all three which include shipping. These are cd's of the greats that were not released until last year.
The cd's include: Jimmy Bryant/Buddy Emmons Live At Rogers Musicland........Curley Chalker/Julian Tharpe recorded live at the Cavalcade Of Guitars in Texas in 1976......and the first one I produced, "It's The First Time" which features 13 of the greats in a studio in Nashville, Tenn. for a great historical jam session. Jimmy Bryant, Lloyd Green, Doug Jernigan, Julian Tharpe, Jimmy Day, Speedy West, Buddy Emmons, Hal Rugg, Maurice Anderson and Curley Chalker along with the late great Louis Bellson on drums, Henry Strylecki on bass and Johnny Gore on Sax. Two of the cd's have snippets on YouTube. Jimmy Bryant/Buddy Emmons and the albums 'It's The First Time.' Although not professional in studio recordings, the picking is fantastic.
I prefer a post office money order for payment. Send your order to: Dave Burley, PO Box# 211, Franklin, Indiana 46131.
I don't have the studio available anymore to press my cd's so I will be looking around for another when I get back up home.
Keep watching for the 'Dave Burley's Cavalcade Of Guitar's' cd that hopefully will be released before summer. That is the 1976 concert I promoted in Dallas, Tx. which features jazz guitarists along with pedal steel guitarist's. All of the following were under one roof for one night of jamming....Les Paul, Buddy Emmons, Tal Farlow, Curley Chalker, Howard Roberts, Doug Jernigan, Herb Ellis, Julian Tharpe, Bucky Pizzarelli, Maurice Anderson, legendary bassist Slam Stewart, Johnny Gore on sax and the late jazz drummer, Louis Bellson. What a great concert which lasted about six hours with two jams with all musicians on the stage at the same time and also individual mini concerts by each artist.
All of this should have been released in the mid seventies but I had a problem with one of the artists after the concert was already over and I have not been able to release anything until about a year ago. This is historical.
Thanks again to all of you that have supported those projects from the mid-seventies.
Dave A. Burley

The set of three include:
Cavalcade Of Guitars
Jimmy Bryant/Buddy Emmons Live
It's The First Time album
Curley Chalker/Julian Tharpe live at the Cavalcade session.

Although I am planning to move back up home in Michigan, I will still have the post office box number for about 4 months. The cd's will continue to be available on Ebay at $17.00 each if I can make arrangements with another studio. As Ernie Renn emailed me, 'These cd's should be in the collection of all steel guitar fan's.' You all will never know the amount of work it took to produce all those things with the steel in the mid-seventies. There's no money in it but I am thankful that I have the great memories. The production of the Cavalcade Of Guitars in Dallas, Tx. in 1976 was unbelievably stressful. Those that aren't familiar with Dave Burley's Cavalcade Of Guitars, do a little search on Google and you will find several references with the names of the pickers that were involved. When I think back of concieving and being responsible for that concert featuring all of those names I finally realize that I must have been just a little deranged. Deranged or not, we pulled it off and be looking for that cd sometimes this year.
Thanks for all of the support and I hope you enjoy those cd's with those fantastic steel guitarist's.
