We've been putting together a few more AJ tunes and of course the band "fools" are telling me..

"Thats not how it goes"..
And of course I said.."ok..you play it"..

I've been sittin' down with a few AJ tunes this morning and this is great stuff..

Summertime Blues..appears simplistic..but don't let it fool you.

great workout this morning and what appears to be simplicity is quite deceiving..

Good stuff. thanks PF

That's funny, just the other day I was listening to a CD that Paul played on, and I realized the simplicity of what he was playing. Knowing just how difficult he could've made it, but didn't..., I said, (As if he could hear me), "Thanks Paul for making these little licks easy that we all have to learn for our respective bands." (He really could've made them a lot more difficult).

I'm not typically a "have to copy the exact licks" kind of player, but I heard Paul's playing on Summertime Blues the other day and was baffled trying to figure out the technique used to create that slurried sound of notes/chords morphing one into the next that you hear at 51 sec and 1:15.
Its a very cool transitional sound.

any ideas?
