Maybe it was commissioned for use by the official band of the Soap Box Derby. |

I finally see how to play hot licks- heat up the pedals by placing them over a heating duct . |

b0b, are you suggesting that the description from Guitar Vintners is not completely true? ![Confused](images/smiles/icon_confused.gif) |

"What is this?" As Clark Griswald's mother-in-law said in the favorite holiday movie, Christmas Vacation, "See what an awful waste of resources children." ![Oh Well](images/smiles/icon_ohwell.gif) |

I respect Jon King's extensive knowledge about lap steels, but the story doesn't jive with the pictures on this one. The mechanism is pull-release (not Fender), the woodworking is amateur hour, and I seriously doubt that it's a TrueTone pickup.
Frankly, this doesn't deserve the Fender logo. There's nothing Fender about it that I can see. I suspect that Jon was bamboozled by the widow who sold it to him.

Milo worked at GM, bolting fenders onto pickup trucks, and is actually a figment of my imagination. Just trying to conjure up a reason someone would be so bold as to put a Fender decal on that hunk o' junk. |
