I got this in a trade and cant decide what it is, but its one insanely great sounding lap steel.I do know its a 40's,from the looks and parts.
Any help would be appreciated. No name on it, but it has serial number 1055 on it.
Thanks.
Orlando

Looks a lot like a late 30's early 40's Kay/Oahu lap steel, although I've never seen one with a body like that before.

I think you may be right. This thing smokes. It rings like a old piano, as the tone is incredible. The pup is killer too!

I would've guessed Kay, too. Try a 'kay sherwood lap steel' Google search for images.
