Just got my July newsletter from TSGA and our super prez Al Talley. Ralph Mooney and Larry Tolivar are scheduled to perform at the next meeting of TSGA, another one that we won't be able to attend because of prior commitments. But if it were possible, this would be one that I sure wouldn't miss.

The Great "Moon" of course needs no introduction, but Larry T. is quite capable of holding his own with anyone. I had the pleasure and privilege of seeing Larry perform at the introduction of Bobby Rains' guitars in Abilene, Texas recently, and believe me when I say he can "Play with the best".

Larry reminds me somewhat of Leon Chambers in his "attack mode" style. He doesn't have a tentative bone in his body. He's a pleasure to watch while performing. He also has a teen age son who has one of the best country voices in the business.

The Rains guitar is one of the best constructed instruments on the market. Bobby Rains has supplied the market with perfection personified in this instrument. If I had not bought a new MSA, this would be the instrument of my choice. Certainly hope Bobby can make the trip to Mesquite and show off some of the "super axes"....

Just my $.02 worth. Aint inflation hell?
