An easy way to get the after the speaker signal properly to a mixing board/etc is the old Peavey EDI It goes between the amp's speaker out and the speaker itself. Used one for years and it's great.
Here is the PDF on it:

Out of production but still easy to find. |

Hello Ken,
as the EDI still leaves the speaker's response out of the equation, how close is the EDI's line out to what you hear from the cabinet?

Close but not the same. We used on with a TC Furlong cab in the Show Pro Room and it was warm but were hearing a different speaker brand, etc in those powered cabs. To be more equal you would need a tube power amp and the same brand speaker in the aux system.
the EDI gives you a Low-z balanced signal, nice as it gets rid of ground loop hum. We used a Shure A-95A, lime matching transformer out of the direct box to convert back to a Hi-Z signal for TC's equipment input. |

not shown on this schem is a speaker through jack, but that is just in parallel with the input jack shown.
excellent as a DI source for recording also, you can mix this DI with the signal from the speaker/microphone _________________ Scott Swartz

I use the JDI by Radial. On my Fender Twin I just take a 1/4" cable from the aux speaker output. It does not effect the sound of the twin at all and captures a very true Twin sound and sends it to the mixing board.
