Paul's seminar will be held on Thursday (tomorrow) morning at 9AM. Registration begins at 8AM.

The seminar was full; but, 10 additional seats were just added to the room, to accommodate more students!!

They will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

A table will be set up in front of the "Galleria Ballroom #1" (main lobby) for registration. The price is same - $70, and the seminar will be held from 9AM to 4PM.

Let's fill the room and have some fun!!

Smile

The seminar was very good. What Paul did was atttemptnto show us mortals his approach to playing a steel musically.

In very short order he talked about chromatic scales, pivoting, counterpoint, twilling, how to embellish a theme, and some other little goodies. I left with plenty to think about and I hope that I can assimilate some of his ideas into my playing.

Musically, he is so far above the majority of us that we can only watch in admiration. However, he was totally sincere in trying to help us and no question was left unanswered. A nicer person would be hard to find. I bugged him a couple of times after the seminar and he took the time to re-explain something that I did not quite grasp at the seminar. He is gracious to do it again next year you will do yourself a big favor by attending.

Thanks Paul.

It's great when you get to "pick the brains" of someone like Paul. And it's great that they are willing to do it.

I attended an Emmons semminar in St Louis one year and it was like that.

I took one of his 1st seminars back in 1988 and I still refer back to the tapes.
Paul is not only a super player but humble and a super guy. I talked with him in Dallas and he remembered that seminar back in 1988 in NY.
