I'm gonna tackle this machine and figure out where to put all the rods so it's setup correctly, BUT I NEED YA'LLS HELP! I'm going with the standard 123 Emmons pedal setup and LKL raising E's.
I've seen copedents of every shape and size!
But I've got 6 knee levers, lkl, lv, lkr, another lkr in the middle, I guess for the C6 neck, rkl, rkr.
I need a basic simple setup as I am extremely new to anything with 10 strings especially with knee levers.
Here's a current picture of the bridge end.
How do you tune this thing?

That guitar appears to have a few trick modifications, Beverley, certainly a Super Pro with 8+6 is a great guitar to have in your stable, but perhaps more than you want to set up via email or forum post. There are a number of forum members in the NC area and I'll bet one or more of them are near you and could help you get the job done in proper fashion.
Good luck, that's a great guitar for sure! |

Dave, from what shows in the picture, it looks completely stock to me - neck switch, input jack, coil tap switch, tone control. Super Pro's also came standard with 8+6. |

Looks stock to me, too. But, on the E9 neck I see 2 lowers on the 8th string and the 9th string isn't lowered at all. The 4th string has 3 raises and isn't being lowered to Eb. Also, the 2nd string is lowered twice.
So, there's something fishy with the setup. I agree with Dave about getting in touch with a Forum member close by.
Beverly, I've got a SuperPro, so feel free to email me if I can be of any long-distance help. |

I will certainly pick your brain!
I'll get my first questions together, and email you.
Thanks! |

Probably the first thing to do, is make a chart of the tuning and what each pedal and knee lever does. It will be much easier for us to help. The way the nylon tuning nuts look, it is not standard. But the guitar itself looks stock to me too. If you need help posting it, email it to me and I can format and post it here. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) .
