* * * HOT FLASH - April 30th * * *

Jim has generously lowered his setup fee to $50. New price is now $50 setup/4 + $45 per board. So 1 board is $57, four is $12 + $45 X 4 = $192.
*======================================================================*
Hi All,
I'm going to have Jim Palenscar make me up a repro 26" scale Stringmaster fretboard. He has done 22 1/2" and 24 1/2" fretboards before.

Since this will be his first run of 26" boards he will charge a (one time) setup fee of $100 in addition to the $44 per fretboard. After discussing it with Jim, this seems like a great deal to me.

I'm posting this to see if anyone would like to come in on the deal so we can share the setup cost. If 2 or 3 additional people join in the setup cost becomes around $30. Thanks.

Best Regards,
Jon B.

$44 bucks is tempting but $30 would be irresistable!
Let me know. Thanks

Oh, come on. How many people are really going to negotiate the price for a 26" scale length fretboard? There can't be that many people who even could use something like this. It costs what it costs. If you don't like it, make your own. Smile

Great news ! Well now that there's a we rather than just me, I'm going to go ahead for around the middle of May. I'll email Jim Palenscar and let him know.

I'm going to leave this thread out there until May 16th to let everyone who isn't living in a cave have a chance to see it. I'll close the ordering then and send you the final price. I would prefer that you send me a USPS Money Order. I'll send the snail mail address at that time.

BTW, I'm working in NYC at the moment so there will be no cross border fees to pay.

Price is now $94 plus shipping and descending !

Best,
Jon

Hi Everyone,

The setup fee has been very kindly lowered to $50 by Jim Palenscar. He has however jacked up the price per board from $44 to $45. Winking

So the new price of one of his very tastee repro 26" fretboards is: $50/4 + $45 = $57.50.

Get 'em while they're hot.

Best,
JB

If PayPal won't work, I'm happy to pay for Basil's with a US check and he can pay me back in Pounds. I have bank accounts on both sides of the Atlantic.

I was in Jim's shop today and saw some of these fingerboards. They look really nice. I'll be getting a pair, but in a different scale.

yes. I did a search for his name, and found his website. Did a price inquiry for a 57 T8 build, and just got an email back.
