Many of you might remember these pages from years ago. Y'all can draw yer own conclusions.
THE FUTURE OF PEDAL STEEL by Steve Fishell appeared in GUITAR PLAYER magazine Dec. 1980.
THE STEREOTYPED STEEL GUITAR was an editorial by Tom Bradshaw in STEEL GUITARIST magazine #4, Jan. 1980, and caused a minor firestorm at the time.

Fellas I now have alot more compassion for all those players on that title, The old saying goes to this day (LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS), I have never seen such stupid questions asked to the best players in the world, and then turned it into a public opinion that became a future suicide note for my future also,
NOT...
Asking for someones opinion for the future and making it public, Thats a stupid Question.
Be careful guys
Live for today and keep your customers happy "period"
