My buddy bought 2 Fender amps. The ground was cut off on both plugs and I am going to replace the power cords for him. Anything special I need to know to open up the amps? I haven't looked at them yet. I guess I can just put a new plug on unless he wants to purchase a replacement cord with the plug on.

Princeton 112 plus (PR290)
Deluxe 112 plus (PR291)

thanks, Ron

Hey Ron: Look inside and see if the wire from that cut off contact of the plug is grounded to the chassis (I bet it is). If it is replace the cord and follow the colors when you attach the new cord. Shouldn't drop the chassis ground when it was there when the amp left Fender. If you have trouble finding a similar power cord, get back to me. I might have one for you. al
