Thomas SD-10 3x5 For Sale. These are not well known guitars, but are very solid, pretty, and well-playing guitars. Sounds amazing too. Check around on the forum for people singing praises
for these guitars.
The previous owner told me it was a late 80s early 90s guitar. I know that sometime in the early 90s Thomas guitars were built with slightly different mechanics and were labeled as "Second Generation." This was made BEFORE that.
Has a George Ls pickup, can't be sure of the exact model, but I've always assumed it was the E66. Overall with this guitar: very nice tone and killer sustain.
The Left Vertical knee lever is not OEM, I've been told by many that it is most likely an Emmons lever.
Setup is Emmons. Let me know if you need the exact copedent.
I've owned this guitar for about a year and a half and it has treated me well. It does not break strings. I've broken two on it: First time was with the strings that came on it, the other time they were many months old and I had played on it for hours almost each and every day.
I'm only selling because I bought a newer GFI and I can't keep two steels. I may regret selling one day, but for now, I'm moving on.
In very nice cosmetic shape, some dings and dents, but none major. It does have a couple of small cracks in the body underneath, but they are no big deal, just worth mentioning. I tried to show them in the pictures. I showed them to a fellow who works on steels around Akron, OH and he said they are nothing to worry about, its just the fact that this guitar is a good 20 years old.
Either way, with that one issue, the bottom line is going to be a real nice guitar at a pretty low price.
I am asking $1500 plus shipping, OBO.

Copedent:
Standard E9 tuning
ABC are standard Emmons
LKL: raises E's 1/2 step
LKR: lowers E's 1/2 step
LKV: lowers B's 1/2 step
RKL: lowers 6th string whole step and raises 1st string whole step
RKR: lowers 2nd string whole step, NO SPLIT

Please do not send PMs, they don't always make it to me. Either e-mail me about this, or leave a post on the thread. I will make a valid attempt to respond on a first come first serve basis.

I will accept cash (in person), personal check (it will have to clear before I ship the guitar), or money order. Ask if you want to pay any other way, but check is the best.

As always, I would prefer a local sale (I live in Akron, OH), but I know that is not likely, so I will ship to the lower 48 as well.

If you have any questions, or need more pictures, please ask!

Dan, I'm pretty sure you used to own this guit, I've traced it back through the forum. I bought it from Michael Hermsmeyer.

Thanks for the kind words Greg, very true. I hate to get rid of it, but I just can't keep two steels now.

Someone e-mailed me a question and for some reason I can not reply to that e-mail address. I won't post the full address, but it started with "stummy."
Guitar is still available and NO, it does not have split tuners.
