This is a very unique Carter 8 & 8 D10 that has had some serious upgrades done to it and the guitar is in fantastic condition. It was originally built in the late 90's but has had an undercarriage update done within the last 3 years using the most recent components available. (That work was done by one of, if not the most knowledgeable mechanic of Carter guitars alive today.) The keyless system was designed, manufactured and installed by Paul Redmond. He is a "master machinist" who has built/rebuilt many keyless guitars of different brands and origin. It tunes, and stays in tune, with a standard 7/64" allen head wrench that is standard on many other guitars on the market today. And with the keyless system comes the end of string return issues found on most keyed guitars. Paul also added a strenghening rib to help minimize any cabinet drop that the guitar might have had.....and it works great.
The guitar has Alumitone pickups and the tone of this guitar is full-bodied, with sweet highs and growling lows. The case is in like-new condition and the cosmetics of the guitar is nearly flawless. I am very reluctant to sell this guitar but our economy is winning the battle! The guitar is priced at $3195 and can be picked up at TSGA (Dallas) or picked-up with 100 mile radius of Atlanta. Shipping charges can be added if need be.

If Paul did most of the work on this guitar, I'd have no reservations at all about snatching it up. He did flawless work on my Kline, fabricating a lot of new parts in the process. He goes to great lengths to explain things and was and continues to be extremely helpful. Good luck with the sale, Tommy. stevet |

John, this is the current setup on the guitar. Lots of pulls and it plays very smooth... especially considering some of the load from multiple pulls.

I've had a couple inquiries about this guitar but no one has made a definite offer on it yet. If anyone seriously interested would like to have me bring this guitar to Dallas this weekend please let me know by email or pm very soon. |
