I just listened to Bobbe's version of "Crazy" on his web site. Like most of his stuff, it's entirely, uniquely his own and really beautiful. Check it out.

Bobbe is a rare critter. He's an original. He can take a tune that has been worn out by all the so-called greats and make it his own when he puts that Seymour TOUCH to it. Bobbe & I grew up listening to his Dad's fine piano playing.....lots of big chords! Bobbe always plays a tune his own way!(doesn't copy) I love him, Uncle Doug |

Andy--go to the sight and scroll down to where his "Steel Guitar Classics" is shown. You'll see, you can play "Crazy" and "Rose City Chimes". |

Long before I had even seen a steel guitar up close, I had his cassets "Pure Country Steel" and "Steel Guitar Favorites--played them over and over again while driving. One day, pushin' 50, I made the decision to become a steel player! I still can't play anything like Bobbe, but I'm having lots of fun! |

Bobbe uses notes and chords, much like an artist would use a brush and colors to paint a beautiful painting. You can listen over and over to a one of his compulations and each time, hear something you didn't hear the first time. Truly an artist in every sense of the word with his own unique touch and mastery of the steel that is nothing but pure ear candy for everyone and for those that love and appreciate the steel as an instrument, he gives us a glimpse of what the steel can do when a master is at the controls.
This will be the year for the Bobbster and will fulfill a desire that many of us have had for a long time. Long live Mr. Seymour! |
