I have been touring with Latin superstar Joan Sebastian for the last year and this is the steel I have been using. I am only selling this because David Jackson is building me a new Blackjack Custom. Those of you who have played Jackson guitars know these are very special instruments -- I used this guitar in front of an audience of 100,000 in Mexico on New Year's Eve and it sounded great!
This is a wonderful guitar with some extras. It has 5 knee levers (it has a LKV). It also has a Shot Jackson pick-up which really sings and the Edge bridge which really sustains.
I fly a few times a week so I had Dan Bentley build me one of his light cases (which a number of other pro steelers use for fly-to gigs). In the case, this steel weighs a little over 40 pounds so there’s no extra charge to check it and it has really protected the guitar well. The inside of the case is perfect –the outside shows the thousands of miles that the guitar has flown!
I am asking $2000 plus shipping. Right now, if you were to buy this guitar with an extra knee lever and SJ pick-up it would cost about $2800.
The only stipulation is that I can’t ship this until I’ve received my new guitar – it’s still my main working axe! Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have or if you would like me to send higher res photos.

Hey, Bo -- Our names are even similar! LOL! Did you learn to play on an MSA? That's where I got that copedent.
To anyone who might be reading this: I must say, this is a really special axe. I never know what kind of backline I'm going to have, especially on the Mexican gigs. I use a POD with this steel and people always tell me how great it sounds! |

Hi Boo, did you buy a new guitar?
Btw, meanwhile I retired after 38 years with Universal.
You're not with the company anymore either?
Take care,

Hey, Ted -- Great to hear from you! I have been touring with a very popular Latin artist and we fly to most of our gigs. I wanted a light professional steel and the Blackjack was perfect; in fact, I'm getting my second one shortly.
Yes, I left Universal a number of years ago athough I stay in close touch with most of the people who are still there. Can you please send me your personal email address so I have that? Are you playing music full time now that you're retired?
Please stay in touch! Bob |
