Jerry--I didn't know either what was going on about the split tuners, until I got some info first from Boo Miller, concerning a special pull rod from Mullen Guitars, that allows him to split the 6th string on E9th with his pre Royal. Then, I called Mullen Guitars & after asking about some unrelated parts, I found out that split tuners were only introduced for the first time on the new G2 guitars. They were'nt on the pre Royal or Royal per se--it could only be accomplished by using that special pull rod arrangement on those two models. |

The original idea of using the extra Raise pull-rod still works fine on all-pull systems, so long as you have the extra hole left on the changer. If you don't have the hole to spare, split-tuner screws are a life-saver and slightly more convenient to use! Franklin still uses the original idea and it works very well and I guess you could even combine the two methods in some instances, although; I never encountered that necessity! _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb
