Does anyone else raise the 9th string a half step on E9th?

I've got the change on my far LKL, and I use it a lot.
Lots of bluesy licks (e.g. major to minor 3rd in B, or 4th to flat 5th in A). Nice harmonies with the 7th string. There's some cool chromatic moves, scale patterns, a smooth move from C# to D#, and lots of cool chords. Works nicely with the 8th string raised to F.
I'm sure there's tons of uses I haven't figured out yet, but I'm having fun with it.

Hi Ryan,
I've been using that same change on the 9th string now for some time. You can get get alot of bluesy rock sounds using it.

That's one of the changes I find myself wanting from time to time, but I've already got a pretty full house (4 pedals and 7 knees).

I recall Bobbe Seymour saying he likes that change.

The late Winnie Winston always had that change and used it a bunch I'm told. One use for it would be in a speed picking mode where you'd play strings 6 7 8 and 9 with it raised to D# and back to the 8th string. Another little cool run (again with the 9th string at D#) is to plays strings 8 9 8 7 6. Also the position where you use the B pedal and then the 9th string open as the root for a D6th. If you use that 9th string raise it's the same move as the E to F on an E9 tuning (ie. sharpening the root a half tone)............JH in Va.

You can also do a speed picking thing in C# with that lever combined with the E to F raises (actually E# in this context) and the A pedal, on the 10th, 9th, 8th, 7th, and 6th strings...C# D# E# F# G#.
