Back to the Steel King amp even though the Dual Showman sounded a bit fatter. Steel King was mic'ed with a Shure SM-57 into a Studio Projects hybrid preamp then into a Zoom R24. Mastered on my PC using Reaper, 22 tracks of 24 bit audio.

The guitar part features a Hipshot B/G bender on a Fender Squier Classic Vibe 50's telecaster. All the reverbs are Boss RV-5 except the fiddles are the Reaper Ambience plugin on top of the RV-5.

Thanks Hick!

I record a lot of stuff and distribute it locally to friends and retired musicians who enjoy it a lot and I put some out here when I think it might interest others. There's a lot of talent on this forum posting great stuff. I do try to tab out parts of interest but have fallen way behind on that. I sure do miss the fat tube sound I was getting on the Dual Showman but some of that was due to the huge cabinet of speakers that came with it. So many amps so little time to try them all. Paycheck had so many great songs and his earliest version of this was my favorite, released initially on cassette. So far all of the YouTube versions out there are not his best stuff.
