just wondering if anyone else plays a LaGarritt

Just added a SD-10 to the mix last year. Beautiful workmanship and great tone in a light weight package. |

I bought this SD10 from Mike Headrick about a year ago, and I've been thrilled with it. Beautiful sounding guitar...hopefully my playing will do it justice some day.

Here's mine, built in 1999. I bought it from Jack Schrader in 2007. What a great guy.

Here is a pic of my LaGarritt. I got is used, did a little horse trading and wound-up with a tone machine.
Apparently, it was some sort of custom order as it is a 4X5...which wasn't a common combination according to Gary. Might be the only one like it.
It is a beast...and yes it sounds like a push-pull!!!
When I bought mine, I decided to add some pulls. Called Gary Rittenberry, who is extremely nice and helpful, and ordered the parts. Put the parts on, messed some stuff up Thanks to my friends James Morehead and Bill Dobkins got things corrected. I now have a Franklin pedal and that thing will rattle your amp...talk about bass!!!
Glad to see that there are more LaGarritt owners around.
I know that there are at lease 2 or 3 more out there, seen them for sale. Hopefully the owners will step forward.
For informational purposes, the LaGarritt came after the Nashville LTD and before the Rittenberry. It was the in-between guitar.

Mike reconsider asking b0b to close the thread, there MAY be MANY who would wish to reply and you're locking the door to them.. _________________

I agree with Basil. The Forum is an archive and you don't just close a topic once you've received an answer to your question. Members in the future will have the same questions and will benefit from the previous postings. |
