I would like to personally thank forumite Ross Shafer[who I met at the Phoenix show] for fixing the keyhead on my old Blanton guitar and bringing it back To life,In the first pic you can see the damaged part between strings 3+4 the wall was broken on a buffing wheel,Ross welded a new piece of aluminum and did his magic to make it look and work brand spankin new.I strung it up today and it was like welcoming an old friend,The 4th pedal only raises string #4E up an F#,I had big plans for that many years ago,as I did for the hole for the second pickup...didn't really change the world.I've got a little ways to go yet,a new pad and fretboard will be nice.
Thanks Ross you are The Best!!

Hey Brian,The Blanton pickup still works,The problem before was the 2nd pickup being to close to the bridge pickup,it made it hard to pick without my picks hitting the 2nd pickup,The guitar is really good sounding,If you have any suggestions feel free.

No suggestions, Stu.
I was interested because I made a deal with Dan Tyak for his 2 pickup Franklin neck. I'll probably have my hands on that next month and wondering what I'M gonna do RE pickups after I mount it.
Ross's work looks great, by the way. |
