Bruce Bouton if you are still playing your steel guitar and doing home DVD's for helping beginners learn the steel guitar, PLEASE email me! I need you to contact me.
donchristy9000@gmail.com
All of my life I have been wanting to learn your intro's your breaks and your walking ups and downs or scaling ups and downs on the Highway 40 Blues song that you did with Ricky Skaggs in London 1985.
Please, I want to learn these just like you did. I know there are a lot of wonderful steel players in the world, but you are the only one who played for Ricky Skaggs in those days that had those original intro's,breaks and scale ups and down.
Contact me if you still are in the loop and help beginners anymore.
If any of you steel players in this forum have any intro's, breaks, and scale ups and downs, on the High 40 Blues song that you learned, please email me too. I need the practice so I can get good on this song. I only have a few songs under my belt at this time.
Thank you everyone!

Mike I don't care if you chim in to ask Bruce a question, I understand he is a busy man and maybe Bruce will email both of us later.
Dennis, do you think Bruce will answer some of his emails and post on the forum? I sure hope he can at least email me so I can chat for 5 minutes.
Dave, I have Micky's YouTube video and Micky is going to make a new video on Highway 40 Blues so beginners can see which strings are played and what pedals to play with this song.Micky is a great mentor and a great friend.
Micky will have this video out later for us beginners.
I want to thank you all for your support!

Hey Mickey! How is my mentor? Yes, and a big dream it will be someday.
Mickey you were right about this forum giving me all the support a guy could have in his lifetime.
I'm starting to reach out to different steel players and learn new licks, like with Bruce Bouton.
Carl Johnson is teaching Blue Jade with his video's too. I have Blue Jade down to a T.Carl is a great steel player too.
Mickey thanks for the kind words and let me know about the video remake on Highway 40 Blues when it's done.
Take care Mickey! |
