My condolences to his family and friends.

Eddie's son Roy was a classmate of mine in grades 7-9 in Anaheim, CA. One day, Roy observed my buddies razzing me about being a Hag fan. He told me, "My dad plays drums for him." How I'd failed to ask Roy if there was any connection to Eddie is beyond me, but it was cool to learn that.

Thanks, Eddie, for laying down some great musich that millions of us still play today.

Sad Rest in peace Mr Burris, Lord bless his spirit and comfort his family. Part of Country music history forever. No small feat.
