I've been studying your D6/G tuning ever since you announced it here on the Forum. I'm considering trying this myself with a 10 string guitar.

Question: Using an "E" for a 1st string, I'd like to be able to lower the 2nd string "F# to an E with probably a knee lever. With your experience now with this tuning, which lever would you suggest using (if any) to do this change without screwing up the other changes at the same time?

Any other suggestions for this 1st string? Thanks much.....Wes

The 2nd string in question should have been a C#. In attempting to put the full chromatics above b0b's tuning, the 1st string would be E, 2nd C#, 3rd F#, 4thD, etc, etc.

The thought here was to add more country changes now possible with the 10 strings as compared to the 8 strings available. Food for thought - may be crazy.

Thanks again....Wes

If I were to put it on a 10 string guitar, I'd add E as the first string and D as the 10th. Pedals 3 and 5 wound change on the low strings to match C6th P5 and P8 pedals.

The B string serves the same purpose as an E9th's 2nd string, with levers raising it to C and C#, so there's no need for a C# second string.

I haven't come up with any alternate knee lever arrangements that make good sense to me. I often think that a B to C# pedal between P2 and P3 would be useful, though.

Thanks b0b for the clarification. Your answer makes much more sense than my rambling confusing question. Thanks again.....Wes

By the way, I just noticed that my chart still has a .020 for the A string. I actually use a .019 now. Seems to sound a little bit better with the P1 pull.
