You UK steelers go hear Marty! I don't think he carries steel on tour any more, wish Gary Carter were part of the Fabulous Superlatives...but Marty is the best.
For us CA guys and gals, he's only in 2 cities: Exeter on Feb. 15 (20 miles east of Visalia); and Chico on Feb. 16. Anyone want to organize a carpool to go catch his act?
Opening act is a super talented San Diegan Sara Petite, she's worth seeing, too, she's twangy as all get out.

| John, if you were a crow, Exeter is 8 miles east of Visalia, but in a car, it's around 10 and hopefully the fog season will be over by the 15th. They can get some serious Tule Fog with zero visability. The last few days it has been very dangerous in the Valley, and if you're not used to driving in it, it can be very challenging. |

I'm not a crow, Gary, but a penguin; and those 8 "crow" miles to Exeter = 20 penguin miles, since we can't fly.
Nonetheless, I would walk 20 penguin miles to see Marty, no bout adout it!

I'm sure there will be a break in the fog at some point to be able to get to the show in Exeter... 
Bummer - both of these shows (Chico and Exeter) are just too far for me.
Saw Marty and His Fabulous Superlatives two years ago at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in SF - one of the best acts, if not the best, of the weekend.
