This weekend is the big bluegrass doings at the Sheraton Inn out by the airport in Nashville. Haven't missed it 12 years. Any of you steel pickers playing on Broadway? I enjoy the bluegrass out at the Sheraton but always look forward to some good steel in my old haunting area when I lived in Nashville.
We still have some of the Buddy Emmons/Jimmy Bryant, Curly Chalker/Julian Tharpe and the 'It's The First Time' cd's still available. Either CDBaby, 1244Johns on Ebay or $15.00 which includes shipping to Dave Burley, P.O. Box 211, Franklin, Indiana. The unreleased 'Cavalcade Of Guitars' recorded in Dallas in 76 is almost ready. We found some pictures and have the cd ready to go. That's the one when I put all of the musicians on stage two different times for a big jam.....Les Paul, Tal Farlow, Herb Ellis, Howard Roberts, Bucky Pizzarelli, Slam Stewart, Louis Bellson and Johnny Gore along with five of the world's greatest steel pickers, Emmons, Maurice, Tharpe, Jernigan and Chalker. It's a historical recording guys so be watching for it even if you are not a jazz lover.

I'll be down there Dave. Friday at Layla's Bluegrass Inn from 12 till 4. Saturday at Robert's 2till 6 and the Wheel 6 till 10. Sunday at Layla's 12 till 4.
