My Nashville 112 has started to sound really harsh and sharp. Since I'm out in the boonies wondering if it's something I can fix myself. It's not the guitar as it works great with my second amp. Thanks for any help you can give me. Also, the amp is 5 years old. |

Hi Nigel,
I had a friend a couple of years ago that had a Nashville 112 that had similar problems. One thing that I have learned thru the years is don't assume the worst right away. Usually these things are connection related. I took Jerry's Nashville apart and reseated all connectors and made sure everything was tight. I put it back together and it worked perfectly. You can learn a lot right here on the forum. Another thing to look for, (and thank you Ken Fox for pointing it out) is the physical plug in where you plug in your guitar cable. Sometimes they can get dirty. Spray some contact cleaner on a q-tip and clean those contacts. I experienced this on my N400 just recently. Works perfectly now.

Thanks Bent and Steve. I'm going to try these things. I really love the sound of the 112 when things are working right. Thanks much Nigel |

Sorry you are having problems, but a Nashville 112 is an inexpensive amp; and 5 yrs on one is considered good. |
