Hi John,

its an open G tuning very common in bluegrass music (many dobro players use it, like Josh Graves).
You can find lots of video's on it on you tube or go to the website of
Troy Brenningmeyer: http://www.lessonswithtroy.com
or another place for tabs is: http://www.reso-nation.org/

I like it very much because the neck and notes are easy to understand.
