Hi Paul..I don't have the album but I have the track . The solo on the album version is very different although he uses the same scale in the 1st A section . The 1st A section on the y tube clip sounds like something a piano player would do on a Latin tune . On the second A section he plays a swing band quote , thought I'm not sure which . Could be a Bebob tune? it's all major scale .sounds like he's using his 6 th pedal for that and then he does a really difficult lick ascending into the next bit . he's been working hard to be able to put these ideas together and at this speed . _________________ https://www.facebook.com/ricknelsteel/

So, how are you getting on with the steel solo Richard? I spent a very long time working out the guitar parts years ago when I got the album. I play it today as an exercise. I never did get around to learning the steel solo. |
