Hi folks,
I know some people have posted some articles about achieving an Atkins style sound on the pedal steel.
But, I can't seem to find them with the forum search tool.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
much appreciated

can be done. you have to work on doing the palm mute for the low bass strings. here is a little atkins style messing around i did. not great, but gives you an idea. click on the "download" thing.

Dang! That's cool! Sounds great.
I do a little Travis picking on my six strings, never tried it on my Pedal steel... |

Hi Bill,
That's just what I was looking for.
Is there any tab for this?
I play Windy and Warm on a six-string. But, how you do it on the steel has me scratching my head.
Once again, thanks for the reply.

Bobbe Seymour + youtube = what you are looking for (in spades).
FWIW, I've never seen or heard anyone do it better. |

Here's a Boom-Chica on S12U E9th.
I lower string 12 B>A on th A-pedal, and have all the E9th changes that exist on upper strings/pedals/levers pretty much duplicated on strings 6-12.
You can play alot of songs using this style.

Hi Pete,
My original composition of "Love That Steel Guitar"
is played one pass using the Standard E9th Tuning
A and B pedals and the "E" levers.
I have a Course on this style for Standard E9th
Tab and CD. I also have tab for a few other solos.
Here is link to "Love That Steel Guitar"

Check out my site for more info and email me if you wish.
