I just wanted to say the book Bebop Lap Steel Guitar is available in print form now for those of you who don't like the idea of an eBook.
The book itself will not turn you into a Bebop player, but that's not the point of it--yes, it will introduce you to that style of playing. The main point of the book is to introduce a new way of looking at the neck in order to get you out of playing in positions. I call it the "vertical approach". Creating this book has really changed the way I play the steel guitar for the better.

According to the listing it comes with all of the audio files included with the e-book. A question for Mike: if we buy the print edition do we also get the e-book file? If not, how much extra would it be?

Ian, it does come with audio files; in fact, I set up a member's only page on my blog for purchasers where you can download audio files and backing tracks. I had planned making video clips, as well, but I cannot fulfill that at this time.
Steve, I don't believe I can give the eBook as well, only because it wouldn't be fair for those who have purchased it; however, if anyone who has purchased either edition wants to buy the other, as well, I could give 50% off. Does that seem fair? I have a limited number of copies available, so it may be subject to back ordering. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Mike I just ordered the book from your site. It seemed to hang after paying with PayPal. I did get a PayPal receipt, but check to make sure you got paid.
Thanks

I purchased this book from Mike and am enjoying it very much. Presentation is great and explanations are clear. I would recommend it for anyone interested in playing in this idiom on lap steel.
As a jazzer on another instrument I especially appreciate the angle on 8 string lap steel chord voicings for II-V-Is, the C6/A7 tuning in particular. Cheers Mike.

Aled, thanks for the kind words and, more importantly, I'm glad you find it useful. I'm pleased with the book for what it is and I think it was a good first step in that direction. I have a few other good ideas in mind, too. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |
