I'm having difficulty finding a dominant 7 chord on my E9 neck other than the open one using the second string. I'm trying to find one that is close to the ab pedals down position. for example if I'm playing an E with a&b down on fret 7 what's the closest E7? _________________ What's that weird twangy slide thingy? |

Fret 5 with the B pedal and knee lever that lowers your E's to D# using strings 3,4,5,6,8,10. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Richard: Didn't you mean to say Fret 5 with the B floor pedal and the knee lowering the Es?
Jesse: If you have the half tone raise lever on the seventh string you can also play a dom 7th at the seventh fret with the A & B pedals; just add the 7th string to the mix.
Also, try going to the 3rd fret and use just the F knee lever (that raises the Es to Fs). Play any of strings 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, & 10. Be sure to include either 5 or 10 to get the dom 7th chord. |

you can get an E7 chord w: pedals A&B at fret 7 if you have the half tone raise on string 7
strings 8 7 6 5 4 3
E7 also on fret 9 w: A&B & V lever (half tone lower on string 5)
strings 9 7 6 5 4
E7 also on fret 2 w: A&B & V lever (half tone lower on string 5)
strings 8 7 6 5 4 1
E7 also on fret 5 pedal B & E lever ( half tone lower on strings 4 &
strings 10 8 7 6 5 4 3 1
E7 also fret 0 no pedals no lever
strings 9 7 6 5
adding the half tone lower on string 2 gives the 7th note |
