We are now organizing the Ohio Steel Guitar Association . We think it's past due . The membership fee is $ 25.00 per year . If you are interested in joining please let me know . It will be good for all . We have so much to share . There are some great steel players in Ohio and also people that support the Steel guitar world . You dont have to be a Steel player to join . We will have scheduled meetings and have special events that everyone can be a part of . This will be done in a family atmosphere . As a group we can have shows with some of the great players as our guest and not have to worry about where the money will come from . We can do Country and Gospel music both so as to keep everyone interested . Please let me know if you are interested . Regards,,,Gary Preston.

Sounds like something I'd like to be a part of. In preparation, I hink I'll play my latest Mike Sigler CD. Mike, what was the name of that one... "Old, Tired Steel" or something like that?

After a closer look at the CD, I need to tell everyone it's called "Cold Hard Steel", and it is just that!

Thanks for putting up with the harrassment, Mike. "Cold Dead Steel"... you out did me with that one.

PS: I've just assigned Mike's "Steel Tracks" CD to an office mate here who loves country steel guitar, as I think Mike's version of "Away To Survive" is second to none. I also sent him a link to this thread telling him you need not play steel to belong to the future OSGA.
