To all you steel players out there in the Ohio and surrounding states. If you did not know it already, the OSGA is taking members now.The cost is $25.00 a year to join. We have some very exciting things on the table, such as a monthly jam, and bringing in the top players to play and give seminars.

Forum member Gary Preston is the President of the Association, and Forum Member Larry Cole is a trustee. I can't tell you how much these folks have helped me to learn to play steel. No one takes a dime for salary, all the money goes for the organization to put on jam nights and such. All players and styles are welcome. You don't have to be a player to join. You just have to love the steel guitar. If you have not joined, do so today. Contact Larry Cole at crunchcole@ameritech.net to join. You will be glad you did.

Gary,
I can't help it. You are such a player, you have showed me that there isn't anything that can't be played on pedal steel. It is a fairly new instrument age wise, and we are just scratching the surface.Thank you for taking on a snotnose like me as a student,as I really look forward to my lessons every week.

Rick,
Yeah I know it might inflate thier ego's, but,I don't know what I would do without them. Gary teaches me and Larry answers my goofy amp questions all the time. Not to mention that it is Larry's fault that I even picked up Pedal Steel. I was a happy six stringer til I met Larry three years ago. He told me once I started playing Steel,I would forsake my six strings. When I went to Gary's show in January and saw the comraderie amongst the Professional players there, not to mention the talant level,I was HOOKED !

Good boy Dustin , just like we rehearsed it . I'm trying to make Rick homesick to come back to Columbus . But all kidding aside I look forward to have Dustin come and let me show him some of the tricks of the trade . And it always helps to have a fresh mind around !!! He is a quick learner . Also i hope to have a lot people that came to Rick Troyers show to join up with us and make the O.S.G.A. grow . And thanks for the kind words . Rick you behave yourself ,i need all those kind words !! Regards,,,Gary
