I attended the afternoon show. Johnny was right on and so was the band. Great show. Jody Cameron did sound great on his new D10 Carter. Was nice to see my old pals Jeff Chance, Tommy Ward, and Bobby Reed. The Lake Theater in Lake Jackson,Tx. is the place to be for a great variaty of music, especially classic country. Jody.

I attended both the matinee and evening shows. They were both great, but the evening show was truly outstanding. Jody and Jeff did most of the lead work and did it very well. Johnny broke into a grin during one of Jody's leads which showed me he was impressed with what Jody was playing. Johnny sang "The Door" at both shows and got a standing ovation both times. This is a beautiful ballad written by Billy "Bear" Middleton and will be on Johnny's soon to be released new CD. It will also be on Billy's new CD. This is the best new song I've heard in a very long time.

P.S. Bill Middleton and Jody Cameron play at Abernathy's in the Brazos Mall in Lake Jackson, Tx, every Monday evening at 6:00pm.

Thanks Larry! Sorry we didn't get to visit at the show.

Larry didn't mention (too modest) that he also plays bass and sings with us at Abernathy's on Monday nights, as well as some other good pickers.
Tim Marlen is a good steel picker and he plays with us as well on Mondays...
Larry does a great job, and I love Monday nights! Traditional country music lives in South TX.!
