heres a nice intro for you folks that is lucky enough to have a split on your 5th string for the beginning you would just need to hit strings 5&8 while pushing A pedal lower it at the same time then release the lower. but I dont have that option so I would have to 1/2 pedal or do it the way Im showing it here.

Hey Joseph, there is a raised then released first string at the first part of the intro. It's at the point where you have them playing the third string and hitting the B pedal.
