Stolen guitar alert...My brother's truck was stolen last night and of course his steel guitar was in it...along with all the other essentials...seat, pedals, strobo-flip, cables, etc. It's a Thomas D-10 in a very unique blue/purple quilt. Any info please contact me through the forum.

Hey Bryan,What part of Mo. are you in? I am in St.Charles.Mine was stolen about 7 or 8 years ago.I had bought the Dekley from Wally Murphy. When a music store close to my house bought it for a hundred bucks they sent it to scottys to have it looked at,the guys that stole it tried to put it together and bent a couple of pedal rods. When Dewitt saw it he knew it was mine. They actually had some pictures of it on the wall.I got it back even though the police weren't supposed to give it to me.The insurance company paid for the steel and my two amps.I still have the steel and play it but never have paid anything for it.So be sure and spread the word and people will look for it.Good luck

I just checked with all the shops here and as yet none have any pedal steels at all. Will check again later. Jack

Keep an eye on ebay, also. I got swindled out of a very fine arch top guitar a few years ago by a fraudulent sob who infiltrated the reso community. The resoguit list and the Jerry Douglas bulletin board got wind of this and someone spotted my guitar on ebay. I tracked it down to a buyer in Texas and reported it to the police. A very helpful detective down there went to the buyer and retrieved my guitar and shipped it back to me. It all took several months but the point is keep looking. These stories can have a happy ending.
