I received one for Christmas. I was able to record rhythm track from CD to the DP-02. I have my steel hooked up to the DP-02 line in from Nashville 112 preamp out. I'm not sure if this the way to go. If anyone can give us some info it would be appreciated. |

Hi guys, For basic home recording it's a nice little unit and very user friendly. I only had one for a month then upgraded to Protools but here's what I learned...
From my Nashville 112 to inputs on the Tascam I used a mic, line out, preamp out and also the headphone out jack if I didn't want to bother anyone else in the house. It has a handy USB feature for importing and transfering files but only imports mono wave files. It won't import a stereo mix that you've converted from Mp3 for instance. The sample rate for recording is fixed at 16bit/44.1 with no options which along with it's limited import options, is why I upgraded. For effects, it only has reverb and the editing options are very limited but for the money... it's a good little basic home recording unit for those who just want to plug in and make music. The manual is small, easy to understand and I liked the "hands on" feel when making EQ or mixing adjustments. Hope this helps! _________________ www.BuckReid.com |
