That album was recorded in Nashville in the 1960's...it features the song, 'Hitch Hiking', which was recorded in 1964. Does anyone here know who played steel on it? Thanks. |

As far as I can tell Dick is still around and presumably living in Bentley, Alberta. If he can't tell you I can't imagine anyone who could. |

From my 2002 archives:
"There is a treasure trove of Dick Damron tracks available on mp3.com. A total of 6 CD's - all $10.99 and under. Included are Rockabilly Blues and Starday Sessions 61/63 (my favourite featuring the whole Starday stable of musicians with flying steel by Pete Drake). I don't recall any of the Starday stuff being issued (at least on LP)."
I just checked mp3.com and found nothing under his name. Apparently the stuff referred to above is no longer available there.
His address a few years back was PO Box 270 in Bentley. |
