A thread on "Steel without Pedals" asked for new year resolutions, my answer to that was "Compose more of my own music"
Well that resolution begins here with a composition called Threads of Silver, I hope you give it a listen and maybe enjoy.

thanks so much for sharing! i really appreciate all the work you put into that. I guess you were showing everyone here what was used to get your 'sound'. I really like that contemplative and emotive quality. I thought as I watched it the second time how it seemed like it could be used in film, not that your video wasn't very good, (it was!) but that somehow it would be really cool music for a film. I hope you post more. It is only Jan. 4!
thanks again...really a good job all the way around.

Excellent idea!
Just about every year I find myself thinking I ought to write more music, but I'm lucky if I follow through one year out of three. OTOH, new instruments are often my source of inspiration for new tunes, so maybe (since I got into both reso & lap steel this year) I'm ripe for the next creation...
Keep on pluckin',
Mark
P.S.: liked the tune, too! _________________ http://www.harmonicappliances.com/ |
