One of the little bugaboos about this program which drove me nuts has been fixed by the developer. The problem was that the tuning as it appeared on the tab would be affected by the key signature, so for example, if you were playing in C6/A7 tuning with a C# and the key signature was Db, the C# would become Db, which drove most of us crazy. After communicating this unique problem (steel guitar is probably the only instrument this occurred with) to Matthieu, he was more than willing to fix it by disconnecting the two functions. This is great news and it has eased my concerns that this would cause me a problem in preparing for my book.

If you have TablEdit already, download the latest version (2.69 c9) and this should solve this problem.

Mike, that's a great fix, and thanks for prompting it.
Matthieu is great to work with, isn't he ?

Actually, there was another issue with 2.69c9 that I discovered while finishing a tab a couple days ago.
You'll find some strange results when lowering open strings.

Matthieu has that fixed, and 2.69 d1 is available for download now.
