I received a sad phone call this afternoon informing me of the death of Candy Bennett, a long time Mississippi steel guitarist residing lately in Texas.
I do not have any details yet. Condolences to the family and friends from all his friends here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

| I too heard the bad news, he had played the TSGA meeting a few months ago, played great, and was in good health, our prayers go to his family, D&R |

| I understand Candy was told less than a month ago he had stage 4 cancer and didn't know it. There was supposed to be a benefit for him at the "Finish Line" in Ft. Worth yesterday Sunday 1-9-11. |
