They are great guitars. With the aluminum necks they sound kinda like a cross between a Sho Bud & an Emmons (to me anyway). Only drawback to them that I ever saw was they were pretty sensitive to temperature changes. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/davidagriffin |

I don't use my Pro III on outdoor gigs in summertime, as the tuning moves much more than on a wooden neck guitar, especially if the steel is in direct sunlight. Besides that, these are great steels.

My first pro steel was a sho-bud pro 3, 1975 model...great guitar but heavy. Destroyed 2 of those shobud cases luggin it around. I never started playing the c6th so i switched to a sd10 rains.
