This is a superb biography of a player who has been among the upper echelon of the steel guitar community for many years. Maurice gives a great insight into the Texas music scene of the 1950's & 60's, plus the development of pedal steel guitar.

Fred and Maurice have put together a great product, and the CD alone is worth the purchase price.

David and Ken,

Thanks for your kind words. It was a joy meeting Reece, his family and friends. As Bobbe Seymour told me when I interviewed him for the book, "When I arrived in Dallas, Reece took me to his home and made me stay in their master suite while he and his wife slept on the couch. Man, talk about hospitality."
This one snippet from the book speaks volumes about my friend in Dallas. Fred

This would be a bargain at twice the price. Like Ken said, the CD alone is worth the price.

I'm half way through this great bio of Reece.
It is a fast read and very informative of his early years. There are many side stories of interests of the artists he has played with including the great Bob Wills.
I would recommend this book to all who love the music and talent of Reece Anderson.
