I used one of these AT-12 tuners for many years. They are great units. You can calibrate it to another instrument's reference note (like a piano's A-440) and tune up to match the band.

Mine worked flawlessly for over 10 years on the road and other musicians were jealous of it's features. It got "borrowed" by a heck of a lot of 6 string guitar players to tune up....and I would never let it out of my sight!!

Buddy says this one is like new, and you can take that to the bank. Get it while you can!!

I have no interest in this but I would say that I have one of these tuners and it is a very good tuner and while I have a power supply for it I never carry it with me because 4 AA batteries last a very long time. It does not eat batteries and I would not be concerned about a power supply.
