I recieved my steel today, sounds wonderful. the only problem is that the knee levers are not the same as what I'm used to, both E's are on the right knee.
I think I'll keep it that way. what are the advantages of having this set up...

John,
I don't know if there are advantages or not. I have heard both sides of the coin. I like them on the right knee but it presents a problem when you go try out a different steel because most are on the left.
I "think" a 5 chord seventh is easier but that is just me. |

My old MSA had the E changes on the right knee. That was the steel I learned on, but I don't find it hard adjusting to having them on the left. Even when I tried out my BMI before I bought it, it was no problem.
My D# to D was on the LKR, and I find myself moving that leg when I want that change... probably because I don't use it as frequently. I've only had my BMI for a month now, so I'm sure I'll get used to it. |
