I'm only trying to let others see Chets work I feel it is pretty darn good especially for the price, Cheap stripped down student steels with one knee lever go for more Here are some pictures of underneath here is his description..... This is a Green ,Formica single neck built on a double neck frame, with an Arm Pad.
It has 3 Floor Pedals ,4 Knee levers, It is Emmons Pedal setup. Grover Tuning Keys, Jerry Wallace Pickup, All Pull Changer, triple Raise ,Double Lower. 4 Chrome Adjustable Legs.Rains Fret Board, Every thing on this Guitar is adjustable. Knee Levers and pedals for ease of change to what ever you want
Chets number 217-454-8045. Any New Steel player should look at this pretty carefully before buying a stripped down model they will outgro in a few weeks all of us been there and done that:) |

I agree about Chets guitars.
I live about 25 minutes from Chet. I have been to his workshop which is right outside of his home.
Chet and his wife are wonderful people. I bought a used SD10 from him. Someone bought it and traded it back to him. He gave me a fair deal and stood behind his product. I had a very small issue and he took care of it PRONTO.
Also, Chet will say "its not an emmons, and its not a Zumsteel, but you arent paying for an Emmons or a Zum".
Some of the Wilcox parts arent as pretty, polished or "refined" as you might put it as an Emmons or Zum.. and those words are right out of Chets mouth.
I would rather have a Wilcox over any Carter starter (had one) or Zum stage one (had one) by a long shot! _________________ Emmons Legrande III SD10

I contacted Chet about this. What an absolutely beautiful steel .
I bought a StageOne from Doug 6 months ago,and am not at all dissatisfied . I bought and received exactly what I wanted and got what Doug promised.
With that said ,if weight wasn't such an issue for me ,I would've loved to own this green gem.Chet ,I believe, makes a fine steel. Not all of us require a Cadillac,Lincoln,Porsche or Corvette when it comes to a guitar and Chet makes a very nice ,well built rig.
***The weight on this is in no way outrageous , just to much for me.***
Hats off to Chet.....job well done ! _________________ EQUIPMENT:

Having been in touch with Chet on email and Facebook for quite some time, I feel qualified to agree with all of the positive statements about Chet and his fine product. If you find yourself dealing with Chet, you will find top honesty and integrity, coupled with a great guitar at a reasonable price _________________ BenRom Pedal Steel Guitars

I should have clarified - the Zum stage one wasnt an option for me due to the fact that the knee levers arent adjustable. I couldnt fit my stocky (ok, pudgy) knees between the levers without constantly pressing against one of the when I wasnt wanting to.
