Here is a Christmas song "Silver Bells" from Doug Beaumiers Book of 25 Songs for Lap Steel C6 Tuning that I transcribed to the Alkire Eharp Tuning. I just can't seem to get away from that tuning and I guess it's because that is what I took lessons on for several years back when I was a younster in the 1950's. Then I got away from music for about 45 plus years and started back about 3 or 4 years ago and went back to the Eharp tuning. Here is the link for the YouTube video. Thanks to all for watching. Mel

Mel, you've done it again! You did a great job transcribing an arrangement from C6 to the 10-string Alkire tuning and you play it very well! Merry Christmas to you... and to all Forum members!

Thanks Roy, Eddie and Doug for your kind remarks and Merry Christmas to you and all forumites.
Yes Eddie I do use 3 finger picks because this is the way I was taught way back in the 1950's so when I came back to the steel I came back to what I was taught however I have strayed away somewhat because I now try to avoid picking a lot of 4 note chords. I think that a few well placed ones (such as 7th's and 6th's) in a song do sound real nice. I think that perhaps using to many 4 notes chords may have turned a lot of people away from the Eharp tuning. Of course that is just my opinion. Thanks again.
